Series Notes:
1. This format began in 1917.
2. Book #3 was added to the series in 1921.
3. Long Ago Years Stories and The Wish Fairy of the Sunshine and Shadow Forest were added to the series in 1919, deleted in 1921 and then added again later in 1927.
4. Wee Folks Life of Christ was added in 1920 and deleted by 1921.
5. In 1927, volumes #7, 19, 22 and 25 were deleted from this series.
6. In 1928-1929 a variant book cover was published. This book's cover has a paste-on (applique) encompassing the entire front cover. The applique cover is basically the same as the dust jacket front cover. These books were published in 1928 and 1929. Examples are shown below. I assume this book came with a dust jacket, but I have not seen one yet. The books with this type of cover are quite scarce.
7. The later book advertising listed all the subseries as a part of a large list of Wee Folks books-i.e. Peter Rabbit, Cinderella, Little Black Sambo, Little Sallie Mandy, Bunnie Bunniekin, Wish Fairy and Wee Folks Bible Stories.
8. Beginning in 1921 Altemus published the Wee Folk's Library Sets. These sets consisted of four books within a colorfully decorated box. Three of the ten sets came from this series. Set #2 contained Books #5, 7, 8, and 9. Set #3 contained Books # 1, 2, 4, and 6. Set #4 contained #10, 11, 12, and 26. These sets are very rare.
