picture on 3.5 x 2.5 applique. 5.5 x 4.25. White coated dust jacket
matches the book.
Series Notes:
1. The first three books were initially part of the Wee Books for Wee
Folks Series. All four books were part of the Wish Fairy Series in
1922. In 1925, Mud Wumps was not included as part of the series and in
1926 the series only included the two "Wish Fairy" books. In 1927, the
first three books were reincorporated into the Wee Books for Wee Folks
Series.
2. The original copyright dates are noted in the listing.
3. To distinguish the Wish Fairy and Long Ago books which are part of
the 1919-1921 Wee Books for Wee Folks Series from the Wish Fairy
Series' books look at the color of the cover and its lettering. The Wee
Folks lettering is in yellow (not dark blue or black) and the book
cover is in a bluish grey rather than a solid grey. Also the spine is
bright red in the Wish Fairy's Series not orangish. When the three
books were incorporated back into the Wee Books Series, the lettering
changed to dark blue/green.
4. Although the chronology of publishing for the Mud Wumps book is
given above, it is based on catalogue listings. This title has never
been seen and may not have been published.
5. Book #3 pictured below is the buckram version published in the late
1920's and early 1930's. That book color is different from this series'
book but the cover picture is otherwise the same.
