1. Uncle Jim's Bible Stories lists two copyrights. The first is 1906. This copyright refers to the fact that the book is comprised of all 10 books (stories) of the Beautiful Stories Series (http://henryaltemus.com/series/series45.htm) which were all published in 1906. The second copyright refers to when this book was first published in 1916.
2.Boys of the Bible lists two copyrights. The first is 1905. This copyright refers to the fact that the book is comprised of all 10 books (stories) of the Children of the Bible Series (http://henryaltemus.com/series/series63.htm) which were all published in 1905. The second copyright refers to when this book was first published in 1916.
3. Although Books #1 and 4 were first published in 1916, they were not combined into a series until 1921. That series was called "Bible Stories". In 1923 the four books made up the Uncle Jim's Bible Stories Series.
4. The post 1922 books (#1 and #4) all have "printed in the United States of America" at the bottom of the copyright page.
5. The earliest books (#1,#4) list 50 cents on the copyright page. Later but still prior to 1922 the price was 75 cents. By 1923 all four books were priced $1.00.
