This series of twelve books has two formats. The first format which was published between 1904 and 1909 has gold gilt embellishments on the front cover with a decorative flower picture surrounding a book appropriate pictorial illustration. Multiple colors have been seen.

The second format has a line drawn book appropriate picture. There are two editions of this format. The earlier books (1909-1911) were published with the same illustrated endpapers that are seen in the Format 1 books. The later editions (published after 1911) have plain endpapers.
