The Diplome D’Honneur Series was published in 1902 and is probably the rarest of all the Altemus publisher’s series. Interestingly all descriptions of this series note the stereotyped pattern on the left half of the front cover and a brocaded satin on the right half of the front cover. Examples are shown below. The books were originally boxed.

The book shown here is an exception in that the cover does not have the brocaded satin. Also the title is not listed in the original book list as per the Altemus catalogues.
