Henry Altemus published Bibles on its imprint from the 1870’s to the 1890’s. As of this time I have seen 59 different covers.
The Bibles themselves ranged from rather plain editions without any extras to deluxe editions with dictionaries, cyclopedias, notes and commentary, Dore illustrations, etc.
I am adding to the database today Bible number B58. This Bible which was published in 1892 was a member of the “Cheap Pictorial” Editions.
